Brightside van insurance launches on CDL Strata

8th July 2016

Brightside van insurance has gone live on CDL Strata, backed by insurers including AXA, RSA, Ageas, Covea, NIG and Premier. The new product will complement Brightside’s existing offline Commercial Van Direct (CVD) product and will offer a more customer-focused online proposition, including full self-service capabilities through a mobile-optimised platform.

The launch is the latest development since Brightside signed an agreement with CDL last year for its in-house ‘eSystem’ platform to be migrated to CDL Strata.

Neil Laird, Van Proposition Director at Brightside, commented on the launch: "We're delighted to be launching our second product with CDL which further solidifies our investment in the Strata platform.

"There is a growing demand among 21st-century consumers for full self-service and mobile-responsive insurance products, and Brightside van has been developed with this in mind. The product is a critical development in boosting our online proposition and in our journey to become the UK's number one van broker."

Nigel Phillips, Commercial Director at CDL said: “We are very excited by this latest development in our strategic partnership with Brightside to provide a powerful online offering and full self-service capability to van insurance customers. There are not many brands for van insurance online when compared to the bigger car and home insurance market, but we are seeing a steady increase in demand."
