3rd February 2016

CDL has been appointed by Swinton Insurance as its new software supplier. The contract will see the broker's legacy systems replaced by CDL's flagship solution, CDL Strata.

The software roll out will begin this year with all legacy systems to be replaced with CDL Strata by the end of 2017. CDL Strata will provide Swinton customers with enhanced self-service capabilities through Strata's online self-service portal, and allows customers access to policy records across omni-channels.

Gilles Normand, Chief Executive of Swinton Insurance, said: “The investment in CDL Strata is part of our strategy to simplify our operations and remove complexity from everything we do in order to make things easier for our customers.

"Given the ever-changing requirements of customers, some of our legacy IT systems were no longer fit for purpose. The new system will enhance the way we interact with customers across our branch, telephony and online channels."   CDL Commercial Director, Nigel Phillips, commented: "We are delighted to be working with Swinton to replace its legacy systems with CDL Strata and are confident that it will support Swinton to drive efficiency and better meet the expectations of today’s digital consumers.

"Strata is now well proven as a powerful multi-channel platform that is enabling retailers to create an insurance ecosystem for their customers, through which they can seamlessly access online self-service portals, telematics and connected home products. We are seeing significant demand for the solution as a result of this, and are investing further in its development to ensure we continue to deliver capabilities in line with consumer expectations."
