Europa Group
Digital Transformation Journey
News Story Image Europa Group has agreed terms for a five-year deal with CDL as it embarks on a digital transformation programme that will see it migrate its core insurance retail systems to CDL Strata, using AWS cloud-hosting to provide a resilient and scalable platform for growth.

Europa Group Managing Director, Richard Waring, who took the helm last year, said the investment signalled the group's commitment to digital transformation and will enable it to offer customers a more sophisticated customer journey including a self-service portal to access insurance documentation and make mid-term adjustments.

"Moving to the Strata ecosystem will enable us to meet the demands of our customers to allow sales and service fulfilment when, and where, they choose, alongside simplification and reducing customer effort to drive an excellent customer experience," explained Waring.

"At the same time, the integration of the core retail platform with CDL's Kingfisher business intelligence tool is a key feature for us, as it will give us real time business insight into trading performance, allowing us to leverage data more effectively to drive business growth and enabling us to make immediate changes to respond to market trends."

CDL Chief Revenue Officer, Adam Pickering, added: "Europa have adopted a forward-thinking approach to their technology, and we are delighted to be working with them to achieve their growth and transformation targets."

Europa took the decision to migrate to CDL Strata after a process of evaluation of other systems on the market, choosing Strata for its advanced data and digital capabilities, including proactive insurance.

A key specialism of Europa is bike insurance, where it is looking to expand its personal lines footprint, specifically targeting new and existing customers with propositions for motor and home insurance; hence the ability to adopt a more advanced customer engagement model was a key consideration. Europa has a strong track record in providing wide-ranging solutions to motor manufacturers and brands. Waring stated: "Our partner brands are expecting advanced service capabilities for their customers as it very often complements their own drive for brilliant customer experiences. Strata is a significant enabler for us to achieve this outcome."

CDL supports its customers to deploy proactive technology to 'nudge' consumers towards relevant propositions in a timely and compelling manner, driving sales and promoting 'stickier' customer relationships.

Waring added: "We're extremely excited about the opportunities that modernising our tech stack will bring and look forward to leveraging CDL's market-leading data and digital tools to drive both volume and quality as we develop more advanced pricing and fraud prevention capabilities."
