Stockport-based technology firm CDL have hit impressive milestones with their fundraising programme, the CDL Fund, which has now raised over £250,000 for local community projects and helped almost 6,000 people from the Stockport area since 2012.

Over the last six years, £252,583 has been donated through various schemes to 157 grassroot community projects local to Stockport and surrounding areas. Administered by Forever Manchester, a charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester, the CDL fund has supported a wide range of projects including The Oasis Centre, a community day centre working directly with disadvantaged adults in deprived communities, Family Art Attack, providing family bonding through arts and crafts, and the Futsal Foundation, using football to support members of the community who are struggling due to social and mental health concerns.

CDL's director Melissa Johnson said: "It's wonderful for us, as a company, to be able to celebrate and recognise the impact of the CDL Fund over the last six years in making a difference in our local communities. The projects that have been funded during that time bring together people to deliver activities and support that help to make lives happier and healthier and we're very proud of that."

The CDL Fund was established in 2012, forming part of the CDL corporate social responsibility strategy to support projects and activities in the local community, specifically those with a focus on enhanced wellbeing, the environment, children and older people.
