Qlik Luminary 50
CDL Data Guru Named In Global Elite
CDL data architect Matt Houghton has been recognised amongst the world's leading experts in driving business transformation through data insights by being included the annual Qlik Luminary 50 for a third time.
The Qlik Luminary 50 celebrates beacons from across Qlik's global ecosystem and represents its top customer advocates who are deriving measurable benefits from data by making expert use of Qlik technology, as well as sharing outcomes with others.
A prominent figure within the data community, Matt often talks about best practice in deploying Qlik Data Integration in Amazon Web Services (AWS) at conferences and meet-ups, as well as blogging for data-related technology forums, and he is proactive in sharing insights on social media.
As a founding member of the team behind CDL's award-winning Hummingbird data intelligence solution, he has been instrumental in designing cloud-based products to meet customer needs.
Matt recently attended the QlikWorld exhibition in Las Vegas, where he gave a talk on deploying Qlik Replicate to AWS RDS Service Ready standards for CDL's Kingfisher business intelligence solution, as well as other use cases, such as database migrations. He also spoke to tech blogger Neil C. Hughes about how it enables business transactions to be modelled in near real time, providing high volume insurance retailers with powerful analytics and data marts.
Commenting on Matt's inclusion in the Qlik Luminary 50 for the third time, CDL chief technology officer, Rob Trueman, said: "Matt has continued to build on the capabilities of Qlik technologies to drive innovation and customer benefits. In turn, this has given us access to pilot technologies, which promise to generate further breakthroughs in using data to enhance customer online journeys and drive efficiencies. It is much deserved recognition of his exceptional enthusiasm and expertise in his field."
