Manager
We are looking for a Manager to take responsibility for delivery of client-facing application and web services, and development and test environments. In addition to a range of web-based interfaces to data services and applications, this also includes engineering and application support for hardware and services delivered on client sites.
You will be responsible for the development of policies, processes and tools to maximise the efficiency of the deployed systems and staff resources available, and support CDL's Information Security, IT governance and regulatory framework.
You must have significant experience in an Infrastructure or Support environment, of which several years must have been at a Managerial level.

Engineer
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, monitoring and supporting the multi-tier environments used internally at CDL and hosted for external customers. With input to the technical strategy, you will be responsible for application deployment to development and client environments.
You will have significant proven and demonstrable ability in a technical/support environment, with knowledge of operating systems, preferably Linux and/or Microsoft Server and of J2EE, EJB application servers, preferably Weblogic. You will have knowledge of software configuration, build and deployment tools, preferably CVS, Hudson and ANT, and knowledge of SQL and relational database systems (preferably Oracle) is desirable.

Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to help develop and extend our data and processing capabilities. The successful candidate must have experience in handling vehicle data and must be able to manipulate and analyse the data to produce accurate and valuable reports and services. You will be keen to improve the commercial, service design and support aspects of the data lifecycle. With a proven ability in a data management role, the ideal candidate will have experience of relational databases and SQL.

Leader/Manager
Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will lead a small generalist team with a strong recruitment focus, finding and looking after our most important assets, our people.
With significant experience in HR and at least 3 years in a supervisory role, possibly from a shared services background, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of HR and administrative processes.
Up to date knowledge of employment law, best practice and full CIPD qualification are also essential.
Technician
Working within our specialist Technical Support team to ensure the quality and accuracy of insurer products, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your insurance and technical knowledge.
The successful candidate must be computer literate with keen attention to detail. As well as excellent communication and customer service skills, you will need a good understanding of insurance products and rating factors and be keen to develop in a challenging and fast paced environment. Experience of working in an insurance or broking environment would be advantageous. Developer
We are currently looking for an experienced JEE solutions developer to join a specialist team working on the development of our flagship product. Responsible for developing Java Enterprise applications and ensuring they integrate effectively with other architectural layers, you will work with a variety of modules, components, databases, client access channels and platforms including MS-Windows and Unix variants.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrational practical knowledge of developing JEE Oracle WebLogic and/or Glassfish Database applications, and will possess strong communication skills and seek to encourage and develop colleagues. Experience of working in an agile environment is advantageous.

Developer
This is an exciting opportunity to join a greenfield project and assist in the building of a multi-skilled development team. We are looking for Java developers to help create and extend our data and processing capabilities. You will have ownership of feature development from solution design through to deployment.
You will have extensive Java development experience, ideally including build tools, IDE (preferably Eclipse) and unit testing. You will have strong communication skills and the desire to learn and grow in an agile environment. Experience of SQL, Hibernate, web services and web UI development are desirable but not essential.

Administrator
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing database development and support for automated database management, as well as reporting, auditing and data load operations. The role will also assist in development and management of relational databases across the company and assist with service delivery.
You will have proven experience of database administration in a service development and support environment, preferably with Oracle, and ideally with other RDBMSs, e.g. SQL Server and MySQL. You will have experience of SQL scripting and programming and up-to-date knowledge of relational databases. Candidates must have demonstrable project delivery skills and the ability to work in technical teams.

Guard
We are looking for a site security guard who will have responsibility for guarding the construction site of our new purpose built office campus adjacent to our current office building in Stockport, Cheshire.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain the high standards of effectiveness and efficiency already provided by our in-house facilities team.
In order to apply, you will have exceptional customer service skills coupled with previous experience in a security or facilities role. The successful candidate must be immaculately presented as the first point of contact for all site visitors and have excellent communication skills. A first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one is essential as is a full and clean driving licence.

Analyst
Working closely with developers, account managers and clients at a senior level to research business requirements, you will be responsible for producing User Requirement Documents, Functional and System Specifications for a brand-new multi-tier distributed application.
With a good technical understanding of logical data modelling, preferably UML and Objected-Oriented design, you will have good communication skills and will be able to work effectively in a team environment. You will have proven ability in gathering business requirements, analysing them and producing functional/system specifications for both customer and developer audiences.

Engineer
The ideal candidate will come from a strong background of working in a Web services support environment. Responsibilities will include the undertaking of detailed technical fault diagnosis and resolution within agreed company service level standards. You will handle web services, DNS and Network related faults and any other customer enquiries within a large, diverse, customer database.
Essential skills include strong knowledge of Web Services (Apache Tomcat), experience of Linux platforms, fault troubleshooting and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience of PCI Data security Standard would be extremely beneficial.

We have a vacancy for an experienced Software Tester to join a team, responsible for testing of our application software and specialist modules. The role will involve analysis of business requirements and functional specifications and the preparation of test conditions, regression testing of new software releases and investigation of faults on current releases. In addition, you will be able to work on the testing of our internet products and our next generation software which is a multi-tier distributed application in a J2EE environment.
You will have knowledge of structured methodologies and testing tools, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
