Well known for its agile and collaborative culture, CDL successfully facilitated the smooth transition of its 600 person-strong team to remote working last March and invested in a number of initiatives to support them throughout this period. While continuing its commitment to professional development, the firm introduced a range of wellbeing schemes, virtual social events and remote fundraising activities, which enabled the company to raise vital donations for local charities in need.

CDL's success in attracting top talent and driving quality has been reflected in the firm's recent achievements in the counter-fraud space, which saw the team and their pioneering solutions celebrated at both the Insurance Times Awards and Insurance Post Claims and Fraud Awards 2020.

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink said: "Despite the challenging year we have experienced (which has certainly made an impact on organisations around the globe), CDL has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace. We are proud to share this year's announcement and congratulate the organisations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute programme."

Speaking of achieving the certification, CDL's HR Director, Frank Robinson, said: "To be recognised as a Top Employer for a fifth year is an incredible achievement, we have been measured in areas such as Leadership Capability, Learning and Development, Talent Management and Culture. Over the last 12 months our focus has been to ensure that our teams feel supported and engaged during this challenging period and being awarded this certification is testament to our continued efforts in this area."

The Top Employers Institute is the global authority on recognising excellence in people practices and undertakes international research each year to identify leading employers around the world. Crucial to achieving the certification is the completion of the institute's rigorous HR Best Practice Survey, which covers topics ranging from Talent Acquisition and Learning to Diversity and Inclusion. To ensure the validity of the certification process, all survey responses are subject to an independent external audit.
