Legal & General and Principality launch partnership on CDL Strata

17th December 2015

Principality Building Society has launched a new online service for household insurance, developed by software provider CDL, following the recent extension of its partnership with Legal and General. The new arrangement will mean that Legal and General will offer its general insurance (GI) products through Wales' largest building society.

Customers are now able to access the GI products, which include Your Home Cover and Your Home Cover Plus buildings and contents insurance cover, through a 'quote and buy' online service, in branch or over the telephone, supported by CDL solutions. The responsive design of CDL's web solution automatically resizes webpages to display on all mobile and tablet devices.

Mark Holweger, Managing Director at Legal & General Insurance (Partnerships), said: "Our partnership with Principality Building Society is a great example of how our aim to provide an outstanding service and digital proposition has helped extend this valued relationship. We believe it's important to provide products that meet the needs of our customers, and CDL Strata allows us to improve what we do to ensure we grow both our businesses in an efficient and successful way."

CDL Commercial Director, Nigel Phillips, commented: "We are delighted to be supporting Legal & General and Principality in their new partnership and in expanding their multi-channel strategy. CDL Strata offers Principality customers the service and flexibility they have come to expect from Wales' largest building society, enabling them to access general insurance products on-the-go and around the clock."
