28th October 2019

CDL is in the running for two coveted tech accolades in recognition of its pioneering work in the field of technology. The industry-leading firm has been named as a finalist in the prestigious UK Business Tech Awards 2019, as well as this year's European Software Testing Awards.

CDL's collaborative anti-fraud initiative, Hummingbird Syndicate, is up for the 'Best Use of Data' at the UK Business Tech Awards 2019. The ceremony, which will take place 13th November, celebrates the UK's best tech businesses and rewards the innovative and exceptional application of technology to transform business and drive growth.

Earlier this year, Hummingbird Syndicate took the award for 'Best Use of Data' at the Prolific North Tech Awards 2019 for its role in helping major insurance brands combat the growing challenge of quote manipulation. It was also shortlisted for 'Best Use of Technology' in the Broker Innovation Awards 2019.

Nick Jackson, CDL partnerships director, said: "We are delighted that Hummingbird Syndicate continues to be recognised for the creativity it displays in tackling what is a big industry problem and the value it is adding for insurance retailers.

"It has proved highly successful for our customers in a range of different applications since its launch, including providing deeper customer insights, a reduction in post-sale cancellation of policies and a dramatic decline in other cost factors, such as bad debt."

In more award news, CDL's in-house Agile Testing Academy has been shortlisted in the 'Most Innovative Project' category at the European Software Testing Awards 2019. Recognised for its significant advancement of software testing methods and practice, the academy has seen CDL's workforce place the customer at the centre of service delivery, for faster delivery of high quality software.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 20th November 2019 at Old Billingsgate, London.
