DVLA Look-up
Working with our data arm, CDL VIS, CDL have used the combined knowledge and experience to incorporate DVLA data into the quotation system.
This means that DVLA Look-up is now incorporated into CDL Strata, CDL Classic and online quotation modules. We can now automatically provide users of the CDL systems with all the information they need on the make and model of a car by simply typing in the registration number, thus speeding up the quotation process considerably and reducing insurer and intermediary rework due to errors on policy documents.
A large number of our clients have taken advantage of this service, and white labelling the DVLA Look-up service is an option available with the product.
Mycarcheck
CDL is now able to offer vehicle checking services based on DVLA data and thousands of consumers looking to buy a second hand vehicle have been protected from buying a vehicle with a hidden past thanks to the CDL VIS vehicle history checking service, which can be found at www.mycarcheck.com.
Mycarcheck.com is a website that allows customers to purchase a vehicle history check on their vehicle online and purchase a certificate to authenticate the information search on that car.
The check covers a stolen car check from the PNC (Police National Computer), the DVLA and the Association of British Insurers (recorded accident damage). It checks for stolen or police interest in the vehicle, write off or accident damage, scrapped by the DVLA, plate transfers, number of former keepers, full VIN and chassis check, make and model, engine number and size, colour, if the car has been exported, the date it was first registered and if there have been any colour changes.
We can support our broking partners with this information, allowing them to deliver enhanced consumer protection measures. It also provides access to the Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register (MIAFTR), Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO) and DVLA Mileage information.
Mytextcheck
CDL has joined forces with Onesoon, a mobile messaging company, to launch Mytextcheck, an innovative new service.
Mytextcheck enables buyers of second hand vehicles to access authentic vehicle history data within seconds via their mobile phones. This offers a cost-effective ‘roaming’ vehicle history checking service that can be used while actually viewing a second hand vehicle.
The service also gives the user the option of receiving a quote to insure the vehicle they have checked. If this option is accepted, quotes are aggregated from the CDL broking community and details of the cheapest quote along with a reference number and contact details are sent by text message to the consumer’s mobile phone.
Auto-fill
CDL’s experience and drive for being innovative has led to the development of a tool to put us at the top of accuracy.
Auto-fill is a simple product that can populate any database with DVLA data and includes over 40 fields, including, make, model, year of registration, engine size, value, CO2 emissions and ABI Code list 44, all delivered in sub second time,
We can now also supply extensive mileage data gathered from the DVLA and the largest MOT testing company in the UK.
In addition we have extensive high quality valuation data with over 1,140,000 vehicle models and we aim to provide an accurate valuation for any car, which can be adjusted for mileage and age, when entering the registration number. In a recent pricing accuracy test this data was better than Black Book and Glass’s Guide.
CDL VIS are in the process of collecting finance data from finance houses throughout the UK and this will be made available later in 2007.
