CDL launches Motor Breakdown to broking community

Software house CDL is to launch CDL Motor Breakdown, a brand new roadside rescue product available to the CDL broking community from the 1st March.

Developed in conjunction with Assure Assistance and underwritten by Axa, CDL’s Motor Breakdown is available to CDL brokers at a highly favourable net rate that will enable brokers to match the most competitively priced packages on the market whilst still earning a generous commission. Brokers can easily bolt the service on to their existing motor insurance offering to consumers, fully supported by CDL’s ‘Classic’ software.

CDL Motor Breakdown is available to all cars up to 16 years old. It includes 24 hour roadside rescue, recovery and home starts across the UK and Europe, provided by Assure Assistance, one of the country’s leading roadside assistance organisations.

Commenting on the launch, CDL general manager, Rick Slater, said that it was the first time that CDL had offered a product of this kind to its broking community and was confident that it would be a strong addition to CDL’s product set.

Mr Slater added: “Through our relationships with leading insurers and Assurance Assistance, we are ideally placed to develop and launch CDL Motor Breakdown. We believe it is a highly competitive product in comparison to other leading roadside assistance services that will add real value and increase profitability for CDL brokers.”

“We launched a series of successful new products and services to our broking community in 2005, including our internet aggregator solution and print consultancy service. CDL Motor Breakdown is our first for 2006 and represents a simple additional revenue stream for intermediaries. It is a further demonstration of our commitment to our customers and the broking community in general.”
