Quinn Direct goes live with CDL brokers

CDL will become the first UK software house to sign a deal with Quinn Direct when the Irish insurer launches its commercial vehicle lines to the CDL broking community later this month.

The move will expand Quinn Direct’s distribution of commercial motor insurance in the UK, making its products rapidly available to brokers via full cycle EDI (electronic data interchange).

According to Quinn Direct general manager, Colin Morgan, the decision to make its commercial vehicle products available via brokers will be key to increasing the insurer’s share of the UK market.

“Our team investigated the options and started talks with CDL due to its strong relationships with a major number of high volume brokers. The software house operates a high speed distribution mechanism that will deliver an effective route to market,” explained Morgan.

CDL general manager, Rick Slater, commented: “We are delighted to be able to enhance our brokers’ product offering by giving them early access to Quinn Direct’s commercial vehicles line.

“We look forward to delivering its products to market quickly and accurately through our daily overnight update mechanism, which remains unrivalled in the marketplace.”

Quinn Direct, which launched in Ireland in 1996, today ranks in the country’s top three general insurers.  It expanded to the UK earlier this year and opened its first sales support centre in Manchester.
